Currently our group is reading So You Don't Want to Go to Church Anymore by Wayne Jacobsen .  Its an excellent book, with a lot of application for everyone's walk with the Lord.  Our schedule looks like this...

About a year ago, at the urging of numerous parties, I started a book group.  The focus of this group is to read, digest, and discuss christian books.  The goal of this group is to assist each other as iron sharpens iron in getting out of each book, what each person needs to get out of it.  The group is very friendly and collegial.  The schedule of this group is very ad hoc, as we meet for about 8 weeks to discuss a book, and then take a break of usually a month or so.

So far our group had read the following:

A new Kind of Christian by Brian McLaren
Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell
Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller
Abba's Child by Brennan Manning
The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning

It really has been a joy being a part of this group.  To participate in a group of other believers that are willing to sacrifice some of their time to read a book jointly, and share that book with others on a Friday night is one heck of thing.  It has been a joy of mine just to be a part of the group, much less be there to facilitate it.  Thanks to all of you that have come and shared the journey with me.
